October Update

Here we are in the first week of November already! Yikes, time is flying.... we have been busy with lots of Halloween festivities, organizing winter clothes, reorganizing closets, battling the stomach flu 3 out of 4 of us for 1 1/2 weeks straight, updating photo books, kids baby books & calendars, buying a new van (yes a mama wagon), selling our Hyundai, and keeping busy with two wonderful boys and 18 weeks into one on the way who continually keeps me exhausted!
So this might be why I am going to pile on a ton of pictures in to this one post:)
Back to the mama wagon....we have been looking for a large suv for a long time. It seemed like we could never find one within our budget that had everything we wanted. So of course my dad the car salesman had us go "try" a van to see what we thought. We tried a new Honda Odyssey and really liked the ease and convenience of using it with the kids. It is basically created for kids and convenience. So we were hooked, knowing that we will be using 3 car seats soon and that in order for me to get all the kids in and out with my short legs, this would be the best thing for us for a while. Logan was super excited about it too, he loves that he can get in and out with ease and open and close his own door with the touch of a button, plus the DVD player helped too. It really has been easy running errands with kids. I can say I wasn't too proud to say I converted to a van but at this point its not really about what I look like in my vehicle, its more about my growing family:) We are lucky to have my dad, he posted our Santa Fe on craigslist and it was sold within one week. It was great to have him here to help us through that process and sell our vehicle for us!

Logie and Carter on pumpkin carving day
 Carving with daddy
Not sure what to think of the inside, but happy to scoop it out with a spoon and not his hands!
My pinterest idea that kind of flopped....Carter was not too happy with us, I guess I didn't expect a smiling baby in a pumpkin.
And of course Logan thought he should try too....thats as far as he got (don't ask about the no pants thing,, the kid changes clothes about 10x a day)
Carter our little Bear for Halloween
Carter and Logan trick or treating at Valley Eldercare to visit Great-Grandma Carroll. This was a great place to go, tons of smiling residents and lots of candy. It wore Logan out and I didn't think that was possible!
Getting ready to go "real" trick-or-treating as Logan called it. Trying to capture a picture of our bear, skeleton, and ice cream sundae!
Carter's first Sioux hockey game. He really did well considering he was up a solid 2 hours past bed time. He was in shock for most of it looking at the colors and listening to all the new loud noises!
We had the boys pictures taken for Logan's 3 year photos and Carter's 6 (turned 7 & close to 8 month) photo shoot. We had a sunny fall day and tried some outdoor photos. It was great for about 10 minutes and then went downhill in a hurry!
Family shot right at the end...capturing chaos!
Carter turned 8 months old on Oct. 26th. He is now pulling himself up to stand on everything and trying to move as much as he can on his feet. He mostly ends up army crawling to get where he wants to be. Of course he puts everything in his mouth at this stage and if you try to give him a toy he shoots the other direction toward a cord, outlet, or some sort of paper he shouldn't have. He is a smiley little guy and loves to eat real food. He would never stop if we kept putting it in front of him. He really likes pasta noodles (mac and cheese the best), and pancakes!
